I'm a 21-year old senior attending the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Theatre, with an emphasis on production. I've been interested in films ever since I was a child and started working with audio/visual equipment, making my own movies in high school, which is what made me decide to go into broadcast. After seeing the mini series Our Hall my sophomore year, I met with Ben and told him I could get some better equipment through my job at TV10. From there, we went on to co-direct the Present Tense mini-series and Love, Daphne, and Station 10. My influences come from all sorts of places, mainly from several television shows that I watch often, including Scrubs, the Office, Weeds, and Friends. I plan on continuing my interests in film and television after I graduate and hopefully will turn Seventh Level Productions into a true-life production company with Ben. I hope to expand my roles within the company and maybe even start writing some episodes/films for future projects.
I am a University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire student heading in my senior year of school. If all goes as planned I'll make it out in just four years. I am an English - Creative Writing major, with a minor in theatre. I have known for quite some time that writing is my calling. In high school I wrote for our school newspaper and began to submit original stories. With the help of some teachers it became so I couldn't put the pencil down (as they say). To this day I still carry with me the same drive I had when I first realized that I love to write. As a Creative Writing major I am constantly trying to improve in every aspect of my writing. It wasn't until last year, however, that I knew film had to be part of my life. While studying abroad in Australia, I wrote the lengthy script for The Present Tense. I had filmed a silly improvised series called Our Hall prior to this, but had never written a script on such a large scale. When I returned to Eau Claire in the fall of '08, Matt, Mike and I set off to film the series. After two episodes it had to be cancelled because of scheduling difficulties. Matt and I moved on to make Love, Daphne - a film I wrote and am very proud of the work we did on it. I am extremely excited to see what the future holds for this small production company. Matt Troge and I have the luxury of almost always being on the same page, and it makes producing these films and shows all the more enjoyable.
